SOCS Show Buddy Service For Novice TICA Exhibitors
It has been the experience of many members of this Society, that showing under TICA is a lot of fun, a brilliant day out and somewhere you can meet people who are as passionate about cats as you are.


But we do realise that showing under TICA rules, whether you are showing your pedigree cat/kitten or your household pet cat/kitten can be very confusing or perhaps daunting because it is such a different concept. If that applies to you, please consider joining our Show Buddy Service.


This Service is completely free and applies to anyone who is a first time exhibitor under TICA rules, whether a member of the Siamese and Oriental Cat Society, or not. All you need to do, is contact our President, Caryll Monument and advise her of the show that you wish to attend. Caryll will then put you in touch with your Show Buddy, who will assist you with filling in your TICA show entry form, ask to be penned next to you and who will be on hand to assist and help you throughout the day.

Your Show Buddy will endeavour to meet you, prior to vetting in, (although this cannot be guaranteed), will help you set up your pen and will talk you through the intricacies of showing under TICA as they arise. And just in case, in the unlikely event that you decide that showing is not for you, they may even be able to lend you some show equipment, to save you forking out unnecessary money, like small litter trays, (which will have been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected) and also bowls, which clip onto the pen, for water.

We love showing and hope that you will too. And who knows, although you will always take home the Best Cat in the show, you might have a Champion living with you! Title Certificates
The Siamese and Oriental Cat Society offers a Certificate of Congratulations to any TICA exhibitor when their cat gains their title at any TICA show. You do not have to be a member of SOCS to order a certificate. Each Certificate will have your cat's registered name, TICA registration number, the title achieved, the show name and date.

When your adult or neuter cat gains their title at any TICA show, please contact the Secretary via email with your cat's registered name, TICA registration number, title achieved, show and date, and the certificate required. If selecting Option 2 or Option 3, please ensure you have paid via Paypal prior to submitting your details.
